SoCal Premier D2 Recap: Buena Park FC Jumps Into First Place

IRVINE, CA (February 26, 2024) - Buena Park FC saw its opportunity to lead and took it.

The North Orange County-based club ran its league unbeaten streak to seven with a 5-1 victory over Irvine FC in a SoCal Premier League match on Sunday, Feb. 25 at Orange County Great Park.

It's the largest goal total of 2024 for Buena Park FC (8-5-1 overall), which moves two points clear of Artesia DES FC (8-3-2). Beto Avila and Onesimus Bonat had two goals each in the win.

Also on Sunday, FC Cypress beat Olympiacos CA II 3-2 at Pleasant View Park in Huntington Beach, and Chapman FC topped Viet OC FC 1-0 at Orange County Great Park for the club's third win of the season.
