SoCal Spring Recap: Reigning Champion IE Republic FC Resumes Winning

LA MIRADA, CA (March 20, 2023) - Inland Empire Republic FC appears ready to defend its title.

First-half goals from Joshua Holmes and Ricardo Chavez led the way in a 2-1 win as I.E. Republic FC, the 2022 Socal Premier Spring Season champion, beat FC Juarez Academy in a SoCal Premier Spring Season men's league match on Sunday, March 18.

Owned by Gabriel Placencia, I.E. Republic FC participated in last year's NISA Independent Cup, won its group and played Los Angeles Force. The club has bolstered its roster and looks ready to make anothe run this season.

On Saturday, AMSG 2 returned to the league with a 3-1 win over L.A. Aztecs.

On Sunday, Olympiacos CA Reserves and JACHESF played to a 2-2 draw, while Union Amaya FC opened its first SoCal Premier League campaign with a 4-1 win over UAFC Academy.
